JCO Campground at Lee Baysden Pond in Chinquapin, NC annually hosts a Spring Fishing Tournament for youth 17 years old and younger. This is a Free event, and we are growing every year. Asking for help to buy prizes.

JCO Campground est in 2021 (Purchased property and lake in 2020) believes that time spent outdoors in nature is essential for a happy and healthy human life. We are creating last memories (like the ones we are so fond) through the camping, fishing, and outdoor experiences through our campground and events. The Annual Youth Fishing Tournaments are free event with help from our beloved community and sponsors. We would like to make sure that each child has the opportunity to get a prize. We are looking for sponsors on prizes (local businesses) or monetary sponsors to help in purchasing the prizes. We appreciate any and all support!
2025 -5th Annual: We had 92 kids registered ages 17 and under. Recorded 1 Bowfin, 12 bass, 2 catfish, and over 300 panfish. (Bream, Bluegill, Sunfish, etc.) All fish were recorded and released.
2026 Tournaments will be announced soon with sign up documents for the youth. Tentatively planned for Saturday May 2, 2026. Official Events will be posted by February.
