Speech/Debate 26-27

We have several returning members who are competing this year. 

Sarah (Senior) competed for the first time last year in Duo and Persuasive. She is hoping to add more events to her roster.

Spenser (Junior) is our first competitor to compete all 3 years of HS so far. He did Apologetics the last two years and added debate last year. He is looking to add Oratory as Apologetics is not in our new league. He placed 4th and 6th in Apol the last two years at Regionals.

Connor (Junior) competed in impromptu and apologetics last year and placed in the top 8 his first year of competing. He is hoping to add debate and other events this year.

Skylar (Junior) competed in Open Interp and placed 4th her freshman year. She took a year off last year, but is planning to come back and take the acting stage by storm. 

Jacky (Senior) competed in OI, Persuasive, duo, and debate last year. He took 3rd place in OI at Regionals but the 1st place trophy for the most points in OI in the season. He and Addi also took 1st in duo both at Regionals and in the season point.

Addi (Sophomore) competed in Monologue and Duo. She and Jacky took 1st in Duo at Regionals and throughout the season.

Joining us this year are Keiler (Senior) and Samantha (Sophomore) though we are hoping add a few more as well

Throughout the season - November to April, we will compete in tournaments to try and qualify for Regionals and State/Nationals. The entry fee for tournaments ranges from $15.00 a competitor for speech events to $25.00 a team for debate and with a team this large, that is $100-200 for every tournament. Our Regionals event is held in California so we have to raise money for travel, lodging, gas, and food, but it's a time the students never forget. State is held in WA and Nationals is held in VA. We would love to compete at as many tournaments as possible and we need your help to do that.
