Every morning, when I open my eyes, I begin with a prayer: “Thank You.” My very first job was babysitting at age 13 for a little 5-year-old girl with disabilities. I loved her as if she were my own. One day her mother never came back to pick her up. After days of waiting, the police and child protective services stepped in. My heart broke as they took her away — but in that moment, I knew my calling: to care for children with disabilities and to help others through love and creativity. Since then, life has taken me through many seasons — four marriages, four adult children, 25 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. I’ve faced spinal fusion, gallbladder removal, shoulder surgery, asthma, and allergies. I’ve been scammed and knocked down more times than I can count. But I always get back up — with faith, determination, and creativity. Out of that resilience, I became an author and songwriter. My first book Awakening Experience is on Amazon, followed by many more. My first album, also titled Awakening Experience, is streaming on YouTube, Spotify, and all major music platforms through DistroKid.
