Co-Creating the Future: Expanding One World in a New World

I’m Zen Benefiel—founder of Planetary Citizens and host of One World in a New World. For more than four decades, my work has explored how consciousness, leadership, and coherent action can help humanity grow into a more compassionate, connected, and purpose-driven future.

My path has been anything but conventional. I’ve served as a transformational coach, author, educator, facilitator, and producer—working across aerospace, education, organizational development, event production, public policy, and nonprofit leadership. I hold an MBA and a Master’s in Organizational Management, and much of my professional life has been devoted to helping people and teams move from confusion to clarity, from conflict to collaboration, and from uncertainty to meaningful action.

As a facilitator, I’ve led construction partnering sessions, organizational trainings, and leadership interventions designed to build trust and coherence. As a creator, I’ve authored over 40 books on consciousness, personal development, and planetary stewardship. As a communicator, I’ve produced hundreds of conversations with pioneers, researchers, visionaries, and thought leaders from around the world—building a living archive of wisdom through One World in a New World, now approaching two million views.

My “why” is simple: To awaken the heart of humanity by bringing people, ideas, and wisdom together in ways that inspire clarity, courage, and meaningful change. I believe that when individuals learn to align their inner world with their outer actions, they become catalysts for harmony—personally, collectively, and planetarily.
