Kyle Freeland Special Olympics Glove Fundraiser

Ashley and I have worked with Special Olympics since we were in college, and when I was drafted to come home and play for the Rockies, we knew we wanted to continue our work with the Colorado chapter. The organization does more than host sporting events for athletes from around the state - they play a crucial role in personal and professional development as well. Courses and trainings are offered for business, education, nutrition... and yes, plenty of sports! More importantly, the athletes and their families build a sense of community with each other.

Every year I have my practice glove custom designed to support Special Olympics Colorado and hold a raffle throughout the end of the season. This year's glove also has a Scooby Doo theme with the colors of the Mystery Machine, in honor of our dog Benny's favorite plush toy! We felt this would be a unique way to combine some of our passions to help give back to SOCO.Other raffle items will include tickets, batting practice passes, and autographs of some great MLB players!
