More Info

Finn is a resilient, neurodivergent young adult who just graduated high school after a long, hard-fought journey. Diagnosed late with autism and auditory processing disorder—and having spent much of early childhood hard of hearing—school was rarely easy. But Finn persevered.

Earlier this year, Finn committed to Vermont State University, hoping for a fresh start. But things quickly unraveled: housing fell through, promised support systems weren’t available, and the financial aid package changed unexpectedly. With only weeks before the semester began, Finn had to walk away from a plan they’d worked toward for months.

Here’s the silver lining: Finn had originally been accepted to New England College, their first choice, but the initial aid offer was too low to make it feasible. After learning what happened with VTSU, NEC stepped in with a stronger scholarship and renewed support. The school is closer to home, offers a wider range of academic and creative options, and dorm life will give Finn the chance to grow in independence and confidence.

We’re now facing a $6,000 tuition gap due by mid-October. Federal loan options are limited due to the timing, and we’ve exhausted other resources.

If you believe in second chances, equity in education, and supporting young people with grit and grace—please consider donating. Every gift helps Finn move forward with hope and dignity.

Thank you.
