Home for Grandkids

My family is navigating a challenging season that has reshaped our lives in unexpected ways. At age 26, my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy and began experiencing daily grand mal seizures. Shortly after her diagnosis, her partner left, leaving her as the sole caregiver for her three young children during a time when she urgently needed medical support and stability.

I asked her to come live with me so we could ensure she received proper medical care and so her children could be safe and supported. Currently, two of my three daughters are living with me, along with three grandchildren, and by May, all of my grandchildren will be here with us.

While we are deeply grateful to be together, our two-bedroom apartment is not conducive to housing this many people safely or comfortably. Despite these challenges, my daughters are resilient and determined—both are attending college and working toward promising careers. This situation is temporary, but right now, stability is critical.

My goal is to secure a safe, healthy home where our family can live together during this healing and rebuilding phase. A stable environment will allow my daughter to focus on managing her epilepsy, my grandchildren to thrive in a secure space, and my daughters to continue their education with peace of mind.

This is about creating safety, dignity, and togetherness during a time when family support matters most.
