• The Calhan LifeSmarts team has earned an exciting opportunity to compete on the national stage after qualifying as a wildcard team for the 2026 LifeSmarts National Championship in Orlando this April. This invitation recognizes the team’s strong performance, knowledge, and dedication to mastering real-world consumer skills such as personal finance, health and safety, technology, and consumer rights. Representing both Calhan High School and the state of Colorado, these students will join top teams from across the country to compete in a fast-paced knowledge bowl competition. The Calhan community is proud of their hard work and looks forward to cheering them on as they showcase their skills at nationals!

• The Calhan FCCLA chapter is proud to represent our school at the Colorado FCCLA State Leadership Conference with 12 students attending. Among them, two students are running for Colorado FCCLA State Office, demonstrating their commitment to leadership and service at the state level. In addition, nine students will compete in STAR Events, where they will showcase projects that highlight their skills in leadership, career preparation, and Family and Consumer Sciences education. These students have worked for months preparing their projects and presentations, with the goal of qualifying to represent Calhan at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C. this summer. Their dedication reflects the strong leadership and opportunities that Calhan FCCLA provides for students to grow, lead, and make an impact.
