In just a few short weeks, the town of Bato, Leyte, Philippines has been struck by a series of devastating calamities. First came a powerful earthquake. Then Typhoon Tino hit, flooding the area. Before the community could recover, Typhoon Uwan followed—bringing violent winds that fueled a massive fire, destroying 86 homes and leaving 103 families with nothing.
Entire families have lost everything—their homes, belongings, and means to rebuild. Many are now sheltering wherever they can, struggling to find food, clean water, and hope.
We are urgently asking for your help. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to the families affected by the fire and be distributed through the Bato Leyte International Association, Inc. (BLIAI).
Please stand with the people of Bato in this dark and desperate time. Your support can bring relief, dignity, and the chance to rebuild.
